Dressing for Fall when it still Feels like Summer

Fall Fashion Week

jean shorts

Whew it’s a spicy meatball in Los Angeles. Before moving here I was expecting to blast the AC around the clock, but this unrelenting 90 degree weather has taught me another very important lesson. The less clothes you wear, the better! After packing several leather jackets, jean jackets, long sleeve shirts, etc, I realized that for once in my life, these items will be the ones collecting dust at the back of my closet for a majority of the time.

Wearing a strapless top is my go-to on those 95 degree days. I don’t have to worry about sweating in a t-shirt. Having bare shoulders with hair clipped up in a bun, is as close to the feeling of being naked as you can get, while still wearing clothes in public of course.

The one things I’ve rarely worn in my life are shorts. Now I’m practically living in them. I got these jean shorts from Express and although they’re a little big and baggy in spots, I actually prefer the loose fit. And there’s nothing a belt can’t fix!

The top I’m wearing is about 12 years old, so I can’t say I remember where it’s from but you can find items just like this at Shopbop.com or Express.

Love,

Molly
