Unexpected Ways to Add Florals to your Spring Wardrobe

While I’ve always said that less is more when it comes to floral garments, over the years I’ve slowly become a floral admirer.  Jeans like these, from Armani Exchange, are part of the reason why!

I have a bit of a girl crush on these white skinny jeans because they incorporate florals in the most tasteful way!  Years ago if you would have asked me to wear a pair of typical floral pants I would have said, “hell no, but my grandma might like them.” Now, to a pair of perfectly summery white skinny jeans with sky blue floral accents, I would say “hell yes!”

While I never really associated floral with “sexy,” this season there have been so many dresses with high slits and feminine necklines that I think my perspectives on florals are definitely changing.

When it comes to florals all I can say is, in the words of Oliver Twist, “More please.”

Weekend Outfit of the Day

One nice thing about going home for a visit, is having my mom here to take pictures of my outfits.  Today’s look features a half-denim dress from Armani Exchange with a black belt (courtesy of my mom) from BCBG Max Azria.  I decided to go with some bold accessories, namely the chunky necklace, chunky watch, and bright pink bag.Photo (2)  Photoshoes: Miss Sixty, purse: ALDO, necklace: Nordstrom, watch: Haight Jewelry

Outfit of the Day

Today’s look was inspired by my nostalgic feeling to re-embrace my history with over-the-top high heel shoes.

This Spring add some fun to your look with a punch of color, a touch of prints, and flirty flared skirt.

IMG_2726I accessorized this look with a gold-chain belt taken from one of my other dresses and I added a large-faced black Armani Exchange watch to make this girly look a little more slick.

Happy Friday!

It’s time to mix up your skirts this Spring.  From jean to sheer to floral, we’re seeing skirts in all different styles.  Flashback to 2004 in a short jean mini.

Next on the list is a short black mini with a sheer maxi skirt over top.  Showing off your legs in a miniskirt can get a bit monotonous.  Spice it up a bit by playing peek-a-boo with a polka dot sheer maxi.

Last but not least, put a little spring in your step with a flirty frilly floral knee-length skirt.  Keep all eyes below the belt by wearing a plain solid t-shirt on top.
