The best way to embrace our society’s advances is to incorporate them with lightheartedness and a touch of sarcasm.  Chanel did just that at Paris Fashion Week.

The show began with their signature classic tweed suits, worn with plastic helmets that made Star Trek fans feel right at home.  But it was the stage design that set the standard for this futuristic fashion celebration!  Models walked on a stage surrounded by servers, cords, and cables.

The whole show beautifully represented “timeless femininity” with a twist: a technological twist!  There was a black handbag, which was essentially a plastic robot with blinking square eyes.  There was a sporty twist with plastic shin guards and baseball caps!  You know you’ve designed something special when you’ve captured all the best parts of our favorite trends from 90’s throwbacks to classic femininity, sporty nostalgia, and futuristic digital genius!

Chanel, being one of the most anticipated runway shows every year, definitely lived up to their hype!  The coupling of fashion + tech is alive and thriving in high end fashion, and something tells me, it’s only going to get better!

Spend your Long Weekend in Style

Finally, the long weekend is here.  Whether your’e getting together with friends, spending time with family, or enjoying time alone to do what you please, we all want to spend this long weekend in style.

Stay stylish and relaxed in a pair of your favorite ripped jeans.  Forget the tiny rips, go for an awesome retro pair that leaves your entire knees exposed.  Keep the heat up a notch with a pair of bold high heels.

After you throw on your favorite tee, all you’ll need are the final touches.  We’re all hoping for a sunny weekend so make sure to stay protected in an oversized bold pair of sunglasses.  You’ll be unstoppable in a pair of Chanel’s or Tom Fords!

Last but not least, keep your scent fresh with Versace’s Bright Crystal perfume.

Have a great long weekend my lovelies!

Love,

J. Molly

Let’s be real, 90% of the fun of going out for the night, is dressing up.  So I scoured the web for the hottest dress and accessories to create a sizzling hot outfit.  Whether you’re impressing a guy, or impressing yourself, you can’t go wrong with a little black dress.  If you want that effortless look…that “I want to look sexy without looking like I’m trying to look sexy” then wear a dress with long sleeves.  Make it tight and body-forming with some fun sexy cutouts like the one from Nasty Gal featured above.

For jewelry, pick your favorite piece and go with it.  I chose a pair of drop silver earrings to match the silver chain in the Chanel bag.  Speaking of which, if that Chanel bag were, $6,000 cheaper I would buy it! (Actual retail price of the Chanel bag: $6,700.)  The pink color is an obvious winner!  When you’re wearing a black dress, you need at least one colorful accessory to give the look some flavor.

The shoes are from the brand, United Nude.  They’re a statement piece that will have everyone at the party talking.

Stay tuned for more hot looks coming this way and thanks for reading Molly’s Runway.

Decked out in Sequins

Sparkles are a pain because they can spread everywhere faster than the plague.  Sequins and beads on the other hand, give us the perfect amount of shine with none of the mess.

In today’s look I’m wearing a sequined dress from Bebe.

To extend the sparkle and shine all the way down to your feet, opt for a pair of shoes with an intricate design coupled with sequins, beading, or metal detailing.
