Say Goodbye to Part of Your Childhood: All Bebe Stores are Closing

The store that was literally the source of all my slightly scandalous dresses as a teenager, is now coming to a close.  Bebe stores across North America have been struggling for a while now. Earlier this month they announced they’d be shutting down 28 stores.  Now they’ve just announced that they’ll be shutting down all stores and their online website, leaving me to wonder where I’ll buy all my overly tight, ravishingly uncomfortable, slightly gaudy dresses.  Or, maybe I already have enough??

There was a time not too long ago when I considered entering the retail landscape.  Now, I couldn’t be more deterred!  All brick and mortar stores that use to be powerhouses are now rapidly shutting stores and trying to cut costs.

So who is taking the place of all our favorite brick and mortar stores? Online retailers, including the ultimate powerhouse, Amazon.

I’ll be honest and say it’s been a very long time since I’ve set foot in a physical store, but only mere hours since I’ve visited online stores.  Okay, fine let’s be honest I was searching online stores just five minutes ago and my shopping bags are already more filled than my makeup bag.

It’ll be sad to say goodbye to the store that is practically the source of almost every bodycon dress I’ve ever owned.  But before we say goodbye to Bebe, let’s shop their remaining hot finds! Here is a list of some of their sexy items still available online:

Jean Jumpsuit ($149)

White Leather Moto Jacket ($139)

Flared Floral Trench Coat ($189)

Hot Pink Barely There Slip Dress

Floral Cami ($39)

Perfect Summer Wedding Floral Dress ($129)

Little Black Bustier Dress ($149)

White Faux Leather Cap ($19)

Pink Beaded Choker ($49)

To brunch or not to brunch…is never the question! Of course we brunch! Three years ago my time spent with friends usually revolved around choosing a bar, restaurant, or mall to spend our time together.  I didn’t realize that I would soon discover one of the most enjoyable ways to spend time with friends…that is, over a table full of breakfast food, bottomless mimosas, and sometimes, a picture perfect view!

When dressing for this indulgent occasion, it’s nice to pull out all your feminine duds and those classy pieces you borrowed from your grandmother.  From the wide-brimmed hat you have stashed somewhere at the back of your closet to the floral dress that makes you nostalgic for your childhood dress-up days, dressing for a friendly brunch is a fashionista’s and a girly-girl’s dream!

What to Wear when you’re Crashing a Wedding Taylor Swift Style

No one can crash a wedding like Taylor Swift.  While you may not be a celebrity, your appearance at a wedding you’re not invited too is crucial.

Taylor Swift crashes a wedding and everyone loves it.  You crash it, you’re goal should be to blend in.

First, don’t wear white, of course.  You’ll have people who don’t even know you, hating you. Throw in some color: something feminine.

Second, opt for something floral.  Floral dresses are a go-to for summer wedding guests.  You’ll fit in perfectly, and depending on your dress, maybe even walk away with a few compliments!

Third, dress up.  Look like you belong at a celebratory event by wearing some of your fav jewels! A few pretty rings or a pair of chandelier earrings will do the trick!

Fourth, wear your dancing high heel sandals.  Make sure they’re strappy and will hold your feet in place on the dance floor.
