Let’s Go a Little Boho

Boho: The perfect combination of the old vintage-like looks we love, but with all the glory of our modern day chic-ness.  You can find bohemian styles at Forever 21, Anthropologie, Shopbop, Free People and many more stores.  This caftan from Shopbop works as a dress for a weekend festival in San Francisco, or acts as the perfect bathing suit cover-up for your vacation.

On a softer note, this loose lilac dress from Free People will give your look the touch of femininity that you’re craving!

Like Charlize Theron showed us at the Critics Choice awards, a black dress with cut-outs could be the perfect way to turn heads at whatever party you attend.  Keep the look light and boho with a floral design on a black cut-out dress like the one featured below.

Get the Best Look for Coachella

As we all know, it’s festival season.  Coachella is this weekend.  Tonight you’re probably scouring your closet wondering what the hell you’re going to wear.  You’ll be outdoors, you’ll have minimal prepping time, you’ll be jamming out to your favorite tunes, you’ll be hot crammed in between thousands of people, so what should you wear to stand out?

Start with the basics.  Consider the stores with a boho, rocker “I want to rebel slightly” vibe: Urban Outfitters, Brandy Melville, and Free People.

White skinny jeans are great in theory.  They’re hot, sexy, a little feminine chic country, but they can also get dirty…Urban Outfitters is offering a pair of white skinny jeans on sale for $39.00.  I’d say jump on that like a fat kid on a Smartie if white is your thing.

If you’re more into the dark neutrals, you’re in luck because Urban Outfitters is offering a pair of black skinny jeans for $39.00.

Pair them with high heel black booties, a ripped grey or white t-shirt, a black leather body harness, and you’ll be the one that they should hire to be on stage at Coachella!  I’d say visit Nasty Gal for their black leather body harness…but I just bought one of their last ones in their hottest (and cheapest yet not cheap) style…oops.  I couldn’t resist.

Next we have Brandy Melville.  Yes, you may have to arm wrestle a bunch of pre-teens to get your favorite styles, but if one size fits all is your size, then Brandy Melville could have the perfect wardrobe pieces for you.

Rock the concert in a grey mini cotton/viscose dress from Brandy Melville.  Make it a bit more slammin’ with a chunky necklace, a pair of black country booties, and some wickedly straight, shiny hair.

Last but not least, let the people be free in Free People.

This sleeveless roll neck slouchy shirt will look great paired with jeans, a skirt, or over a pair of overalls.  Throw on a long gold necklace overtop.  If you’re wondering where to go for that, check out indie designer, Vanessa Mooney.

Looking for something a bit slouchy on the bottom?  Go boyfriend, go army green, go three-quartered length, go slightly off-kilter.

Last but not least, you need to stand out in the crowd in some way.  A jazzy ring could work, a bracelet is good too, but how about a ring and bracelet combo? Check out Nasty Gal for hot hand piece jewelry that could have you feeling totally rocker-chic.

Perhaps you’re one of those lucky ones going to Coachella this weekend, perhaps you’re just planning a hot weekend filled with a Shark Tank marathon; don’t worry, it’s all good.  These items can take you from Coachella audience, to lounging around your house in style, or chilling in your favorite bar.

Have a great weekend.
