Winter Fashion Favorites That Won’t Cramp your Style

Women's BootiesAnyone else not happy about the cold wave sweeping across the nation? As a fashion enthusiast I refuse to compromise style for weather.  Yes, I might run the risk of frostbite more than other people but I figure if I plan my travel wisely, I can avoid outside exposure as much as possible.  However sometimes experiencing the cold is inevitable.  Luckily, there are several winter items that will keep you looking just as stylish as those upper east side New Yorkers while keeping you warm and cozy.

For years I refused to give in to the puffy Canada goose coat, you know the one that makes even those with the sexiest shapes look like marshmallows, but then I thought, screw it let’s be warm.  You can still stand out and look fashionable if you opt for a bold color like this bright electric blue.

Fur linings are the way to go when you want an extra layer of warmth.  The first time the snow hits, the jean jackets normally make their way to the back of my closet.  Find a jean jacket with an extra thick lining so you can keep your style consistent all year.

If you can’t escape the winter, embrace it.

Who Knew Clothing could be so Dangerous?

Canadian company, Lululemon, is recalling more than 300,000 of their workout hoodies because the elastic drawstrings around the hood were whipping back and hitting people in the eye face.

Speaking as a past figure skater with long hair, and remembering all the times my long pony tail would smack me in the face when I was doing a jump or spin, I understand the dilemma here.

Apparently, Lululemon pulled the jackets voluntarily without a lawsuit.  Let’s hope there were no major yoga fatalities on their watch before doing so.
